Jurnal Pesastra aims to serve as a scholarly publication platform for research findings, conceptual studies, and practical developments in language and literature education. The journal promotes the dissemination of ideas, findings, and innovations that contribute to improving the quality of language learning, linguistic studies, applied linguistics, and literature education across various educational levels.

The scope of Jurnal Pesastra includes:

  1. Indonesian and foreign language learning, including strategies, methods, media, assessment, literacy, and instructional material development.
  2. Linguistic studies, including phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics, and discourse analysis.
  3. Applied linguistics, including language acquisition, language errors, translation, language in the media, communication, and language use in social and educational contexts.
  4. Literary studies, including literary analysis, literary criticism, literary theory, local literature, children's literature, and contemporary literature.
